Generally every week I sit down around this time and think about what I’m going to write my newsletter about. I think of all the coaching calls I’ve done, all the healing lessons I’ve been through and I then clear my mind.
This week, I’ve seen a big theme pop its head up over and over again. Last week the theme was forgiveness. Can you forgive yourself for the mistakes that you’ve made in the past and the future?
This week the theme is patience.
Can you be patient with yourself?
I share this theme with you because too many people, I find, rush themselves. They want life to happen, they want it to happen now, so they find a solution that works and run with it. There is nothing wrong with this.
There is nothing wrong with this because in many aspects of life being slow and steady and not having a solution NOW will have consequences. Not being able to pay rent or feed your children usually requires a solution NOW rather than later.
The issue with this is when things can’t be solved logically or the answer isn’t always so obviously available to you. That’s what people pay me to do in their life. People generally will pay me to solve lasting issues with their love life or their life in general. Maybe they are struggling with anxiety, confidence or a specific issue with their love life. Maybe they want to look at themselves in the mirror and be happy with themselves.
I find it very interesting that those who are the highest achieving people have to learn patience the most. They have to learn patience with THEMSELVES.
If they do not have the answer now, can they be patient?
If they don’t know what to say, can they be patient?
If they are unsure what to do next, can they be patient?
As I move more and more into the future, I am becoming less and less of a dating coach and more of a something-I-can’t-put-the-words-to-right-yet kind of guy. I know it’s something big, something new and something really cool, but I just don’t know what to call it yet. My occupation is changing because I’ve evolved. I’ve healed and become more whole.
At the end of the day, if the answer isn’t outward you have to go inward, and that shit requires patience.
And patience, well, that requires a lot of self-trust.
Thanks for reading.
